Casa Leone is centrally located in the coastal town Buggerru in south-western Sardinia. The village with its approx. 1,000 inhabitants offers all year round the main shopping facilities, restaurants and bars, a pharmacy and an ATM. Next to the small harbor of Buggerru there is a nice sandy beach, followed by the long sandy beaches of San Nicolao and Portixeddu. A good 2 km away from Buggerru lies the beautiful bay of Cala Domestica, which is often mentioned as one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. Buggerru also has a well-known surfing school. The southwest of Sardinia was heavily influenced by mining in the past, and Buggerru itself was built around 1864 as a mining town. Witnesses of this period are the remains of the Malfidano Mine and the Galleria Henry.
